Nutrition and Metabolism – What a Nutritionist Knows That You Don’t

From a nutritionist’s point of view, every person has a digestive system of differing strengths. It is thus of prime importance to analyse each person’s metabolic rate and fix up a diet according to the person’s need and requirement. Therefore, every diet plan is different and unique. It is the nutritionist’s job to make sure that the person is given a diet plan that is easy on the stomach, while at the same time challenging it to process food more effectively.

While every diet plan is unique, it is possible to isolate some elements of common properties that are essential for everyone. There are some nutrients that are essential to maintain the stomach at a neutral level of acidity. Essential nutrients such as certain amino acids and fatty acids along with vitamins and minerals contribute to an increase in the body’s metabolism.
